A Rainscreen Facade, sometimes referred to as a drained and ventilated or pressure-equalised facade, is one part of a double-wall construction that forms the exterior walls of buildings.
Rainscreens are usually relatively thin, pre-fabricated panels and the Rainscreen itself – as the name suggests – prevents water from penetrating the wall construction. They are predominantly there for aesthetic purposes, to smarten the exterior of commercial and residential buildings.
Camclad can install various Rainscreen Facades such as Alucobond panels, Expanded Mesh and Aluminium Cassettes which provide a high quality finish to your building envelope.
The most common Rainscreen system we install are Alucobond Panels and Powder Coated Aluminium Cassettes, but we do have experience in a whole range of other systems such as Expanded Mesh, Perforated Aluminium, Corten Steel, Trespa, and Marley Eternit.
Camclad have in depth knowledge of Rainscreen Facades and can assist from design stage onwards to review the type and quantity of the galvanised supports, provide suitable alternatives without compromising the specified qualities and can also supply and install cavity barriers.
